Booking, Etiquette & Sanitation
Spa 101 To respect the Spa environment for all clients please speak softly in the Spa reception
and therapy rooms. Cellular phones, alcohol and food are not permitted
in the Spa. Because space is limited we request that only clients with appointments wait in the reception. Children under 12 and pets are not allowed. Minors require a signed parent consent form.
Sanitation The safety and health of our Clients and Staff is of utmost importance. Clients with with cold/flu symptoms are requested not to book or to reschedule appointments until symptom free. If you have a temperature over 37.5
degrees celsius or any other symptoms we ask that you please cancel your
appointment and reschedule when you are feeling better. These symptoms
include: fever, chills,
cough, shortness of breath, sore throat and painful swallowing, stuffy
or runny nose, loss of sense of smell, headache, muscle aches, fatigue
and loss of appetite. Clients are required to sign a statement confirming they are symptom free and have not been in contact with an infected person.
Our spa lobby can allow for social Distancing (6 feet apart) for up to 2 people. When physical distancing is not possible Staff will be wearing a mask. We have disposable and sanitized fabric masks available to Clients if desired.
We have hand sanitizer available at the entrance and we ask that you sanitize your hands upon entering and when leaving the spa.
Frequently touched surfaces are regularly disinfected. All sheets, towels and any other implements are washed and disinfected on site.
Therapy Availability
We recommend you schedule your appointment a minimum of 3-7 days in
advance. To arrange a booking we will need to confirm your appointment
by valid credit card or gift certificate number. While we make every effort to
accommodate your preferred times, unforeseen circumstances may require
us to make changes to your itinerary. All appointments must be booked in advance; no walk-ins. All of our therapists are on call and will be called in especially for you. Please inquire for last minute openings.
Appointment Times Please arrive 15 minutes ahead of your appointment time to enjoy a few moments of rest, fill out a health form and in order to ensure your therapy starts on time. Please keep in mind that should you
arrive late we will still need to complete the service at the
originally scheduled time. Clients who arrive more than 20 minutes late
will be charged 50% of the cost of the consequently cancelled service. Advertised therapy times include hands-on time as well time for client to undress/dress and shower (if requested).
Cancellations In the
event where circumstances arise which require you to change or cancel
your appointment time please notify us at least 24 hours
before the scheduled time for single spa therapies to avoid a 50%
cancellation fee. Spa packages must be rescheduled or cancelled no less
than 48 hours prior to avoid a 50% cancellation fee.
Booking a retreat package
In
order to book your retreat package we require a deposit upon booking
equal to
25% of the total package price. This deposit less a $50 administration
fee is refundable upon cancellation up to 48 hours prior to the first
appointment date after which it becomes forfeit. The balance of the retreat package price is payable on the first day of services. Retreat packages may not be modified, rescheduled or cancelled without forfeiting the balance of the retreat package price.
Therapists All of our Spa Therapists are well trained and have adequate practical experience to perform each therapy. All Samya Ayurveda Clinical Consultations are performed by a Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioner with at least 12 years of practice experience in order to offer the highest quality of service and practical experience. Sorry, Registered Ayurvedic Practitioner services are not yet covered by insurance plans.
Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioners are required to have a minimum of 3,000 hours of Ayurvedic training including clinical internship. Our Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioners have over 4,000 hours of Ayurvedic training and internship and many more of Spa training, certificates and diplomas as well as a minimum of 12 years of practical experience. This training and experience includes various styles and forms of massage, herbal medicine, detoxification, rejuvenation, yoga, meditation, nutrition, disease assessment and management, pharmacology, counseling and more.
Health Assessment You will be asked to complete a comprehensive health profile upon arrival. Some of our therapies are not recommended for guests with certain health conditions such as some allergies, high blood pressure and thyroid conditions. If you are pregnant, please let us know so that we may recommend suitable services.
Gratuities Gratuities are not included in the service prices. Gratuities of 10%-20% are commonly given in recognition of service excellence and may be offered after the service.
Spa Products We are proud to offer our locally made signature line of Samya Organic Ayurveda body and skin care products. Organic Ayurveda and Aromatherapy products are designed to offer your skin, mind and body a state of balance between the Doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Organic and chemical-free Samya Ayurveda Products work to balance the three vital Doshas. Ask one of our Registered Advanced Ayurvedic Practitioners to recommend the right products to help you achieve the results you desire.
